For $215/wk a single person has sole use of a bedroom and a study room in a private home in a quiet street near bushland, sports ovals, local coffee shop, bar and restaurant. Walk or ride to UC; 10 minutes bus ride to ANU or bicycle beside the lake. Owner is a friendly, helpful, long term Canberra resident. Couple considered at $260/wk rental, preferably short term.

Accommodation consists of carpeted small bedroom with a double bed, small wardrobe and dressing table having 6 deep drawers, PLUS an adjacent west-facing study with polished wood floors, walk-in wardrobe, computer desk and chair, plentiful bookshelves, and a sofa. Bathroom is yours for most of the time as the other tenant is in residence only aternate weeks (5 days per fortnight). All linen and bedding is provided, and all utilities, except phone, included in the rent. NOTE: There is a surcharge of $7/week April 1- September 30 for winter heating consisting of gas central heating, occasional wood fires in lounge, and separate low wattage wall heaters in bedroom, study and dining room for personal comfort.

Lodgers are welcome to use electric kitchen with dishwasher; dining room; lounge; clothes washing machine; and enjoy sunny deck, garden gazebo, and BBQ firepit.
